Feb. 17--Representatives of several agencies formed a committee Wednesday to work out how the city's riverwalk and Urban Renewal Authority could be married.
The committee will include officials from the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo, the HARP Foundation, Urban Renewal, and the city of Pueblo. The group plans to start meeting later this month.
Riverwalk and Urban Renewal board members agreed at a joint meeting Wednesday that it makes sense to study a possible merger. They said a combined agency could make it easier and more efficient to develop land along the riverwalk.
