There's no reason to be down in the mouth about business fortunes in 2005. While it would be convenient to gaze into the mysterious depths of a crystal ball to precisely predict how things will go over the next 12 months, there are plenty of indicators that say the forecast is relatively bright.
The Grant Thornton International Business Owners Survey (IBOS) released late last year showed New Zealand firms were more optimistic about profit than in 2003 and second only to India in their profitability outlook.
