Feb. 18--Trying to choose among downtown Stamford's 79 restaurants can be a challenge. There's no central source for finding out who serves what cuisine, what's the price range and how you get to the eatery.
To aid the decision process, 26 restaurateurs and Stamford's Downtown Special Services District have produced a restaurant guide, complete with menus, directions and maps of parking areas.
The district and restaurant owners plan to distribute the guide free of charge to about two dozen concierges at downtown hotels and apartment buildings early next month.
