Claim to fame: He reinvigorated Florence's flag display program.
What exactly do we mean by "reinvigorated": The program, responsible for the myriad U.S. flags found flapping in the coastal breeze on holidays and other special occasions in Florence, was almost 86'ed.
What happened: The local American Legion had run the program for 35 years, and when the chapter's contract with Iholts to install and remove the flags was up, the program was in jeopardy of being axed.
Iholts stepped in: The Siuslaw Bank president worked out a new deal with the Kiwanis ...
