Terraced into a steep slope in the foothills of Arizona's Tucson Mountains is a hard-edged residence that appears to grow out of the rocky hillside. Interior and exterior walls of the singlewythe custom home combine exposed, sandblasted concrete block with steel, birch, and concrete. The blend of textures and tones echoes the raw desert landscape.
