The Town of Cobalt is set to enhance its tourism profile with some help from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC).
The province has agreed to chip in $1,102,520 toward the development of the Cobalt Historic Mining Camp.
"Cobalt's rich mining history makes it a perfect venue for this project that will attract more visitors, boost the local economy and help preserve our heritage," Minister of Natural Resources David Ramsay said in a news release. "This undertaking corresponds with the vision and long-term objectives of the Northern Prosperity Plan, which has laid the foundation for hope and prosperity in the North."
