Water customers have few options to soften the financial blow presented by higher water bills for 2005-06, which will land on doormats across England and Wales during the rest of February and first half of March.
The average bill increase, taking effect from 1 April, will be 11%, ranging up to 19% for customers of South East Water and Bournemouth & West Hampshire Water and 18% for Thames Water customers. These increases are much higher than those found to be acceptable to ...
