A chart on various glues in last Saturday's Home & Garden section stated that instant bonding glues can be used on plastics. Certain plastics, like polyethylene or polypropolene, however, have an oily coating that can prevent the two surfaces from bonding. Plastic glues are available, as well as some instant bonding glues that have special formulas to work on plastics. Be sure to read the package label.
