CHICAGO, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- If caught in time, colon cancer is curable more than 90 percent of the time. Still, it's estimated more than 57,000 Americans will die of the disease in 2005.
Alyce Sorokie, author of "Gut Wisdom: Understanding and Improving Your Digestive Health", says that while it's impossible to avoid all cancer risk factors, people can reduce their odds of getting colon cancer with preventative measures.
