VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- General Minerals Corporation ("GMC") (TSX:GNM) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Apex Silver Mines Ltd. ("Apex") and its wholly owned subsidiary SILEX Bolivia S.A. ("SILEX"), whereby SILEX can earn up to a 70% joint venture interest in the Malku Khota silver-gold property located in the Department of Potosi in west central Bolivia (see latest Malku Khota news release, GMC PR 04-07, June 25, 2004).
