Feb. 22--PORT ARANSAS -- The ninth annual celebration of whooping cranes and other birds will get under way with registration from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Port Aransas Civic Center at 710 W. Ave. A.
Interested people may also register at the center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The center is the location of the nature-related trade show that will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday. The center is also the location where buses will depart for shore-bird tours.
A $20 registration fee entitles guests to all speaking sessions ...
