Retailers fear business losses during expansion work
Owners of many of the small businesses along a section of Pass and Olive avenues in Burbank worry their operations won't survive the 20 months it will take Warner Bros. to build its proposed office building there.
"It's going to harm a lot of us," lamented Charles Tarney, owner of Cadillac Hair Design, at 109 N. Pass Avenue.
Warner Bros. is scheduled to break ground in January on the four-and-five-story office structure, to be built at 4001 Olive Ave. It will be situated on a peninsula-like property between Olive and Pass, across from Warner Bros. studios on one side and a passel of small businesses ...
