Feb. 25--NAGOYA -- Tokyo-based department store operator Isetan Co., Nagoya-based Meitetsu Department Store Co. and Meitetsu's parent firm Nagoya Railroad Co. said Friday they will tie up in developing products and establishing a merchandise sales system.
The companies said they will also cooperate in setting up sales plans and procuring items in a bid to cut costs and survive growing competition in the retail market.
