TAIPEI, Feb 25 Asia Pulse - Taiwan's Premier Frank Hsieh will reaffirm his commitment in his first-ever administrative report to the legislature to safeguarding Taiwan's identity in the face of Beijing's planned "anti-secession" legislation.
Hsieh is scheduled to deliver an administrative report to the Legislative Yuan Friday -- the opening day of the new legislative session. It will be his first such report since assuming office Feb. 1.
According to a written version of the report sent to the legislature Thursday, Hsieh will reiterate insistence on Taiwan's identity as the basic stance of his Cabinet's policy toward relations across the Taiwan Strait.
