Gillian Smith, 60, from Heaton in Newcastle, deserves a cruise more than most.
She's recently had major treatment for bone marrow cancer and, while not cured, enjoys a better quality of life.
The cruise will visit Mexico, Barbados and the Caribbean. There are also a number of special events and formal evenings.
