UW-Madison will be part of The New Yorker magazine's 2005 College Tour for three days starting March 8, with some events open to the public on and off campus.
The program features in-class visits and free daytime lectures by New Yorker writers, editors and artists; readings, signings and discussions; a cartoon exhibit at the Porter Butts Gallery in Memorial Union from March 8 through April 1; and evening cultural programming.
* Free daytime programs (all at the Memorial Union):
* Tuesday, March 8: At noon, fiction writers Aleksandar Hemon and George Saunders to read from their work in Tripp Commons.
