How far have we come in physical fitness and activity?
Last spring the Public Health Service (PHS) held its first progress review on the Physical Activity and Fitness objectives of Healthy People 2000. The President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (PCPFS), whose staff is part of the PHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, serves as lead agency for this priority area.
