Feb. 27--Dan and Jan Wood's CheckTech was the first major tenant in Turquoise Tail Business Park, and even though they sold that business and moved to Las Vegas, the couple still has two retail stores in the southwest-side business park, a place they praise.
Those businesses, Java and Good Stuff and Turquoise Trail Pack, Ship and Mail Boxes, are flourishing and one reason the Woods frequently return to Santa Fe.
"We started those businesses almost three years ago because there were no services like that in the area," Dan Wood said. "All those businesses out there, and there was no food available."
