IBM says it plans to add major new capabilities to its Person to Person/2 software, which allows people at their desks to participate in multimedia conferences with others across the hall or around the world.
A demonstration of the product at the Comdex trade show this week in Las Vegas, Nev., will highlight some of the planned capabilities.
IBM says Person to Person/2 makes it possible for people who can't be in the same place at the same time to nevertheless work together.
