PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Iran presently holds about 15% of global gas reserves and is considered to be the world's second-largest producer of natural gas. The country is also emerging as a leading producer of petrochemicals. As a result, an Iranian/Indian joint venture was recently established in view of building an ethylene cracker in the country.
Construction plans under consideration call for building a facility with an installed production capacity of 1 million tons per year.
