HOLLYWOOD -- Coming off a year of record ratings for satirical strip "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," Comedy Central is bolstering its already strong relationship with the comedian-anchor.
Laffer net will help the comedian revive his Busboy Prods. banner--which has been dormant for several years--agreeing to finance the shingle in exchange for first-look rights to all of its TV projects.
Deal marks Busboy's first foray into development.
Stewart and "Daily Show" exec producer Ben Karlin will head up the company, with Richard Korson aboard to run development and Chris McShane managing talent.
