Patrick Corporation has dismissed the findings of an independent report into its $A1.90-a-share takeover bid for Virgin Blue. Grant Samuel & Associates, which released the report in late February 2005, has valued Virgin's shares at between $A2.43 and $A2.90. The shares ended 28 February 2005 at $A2.03. Citigroup transport analyst, Jason Smith, has given Virgin a $A1.51 valuation, while Goldman Sachs JBWere has valued the shares at $A1.97. Patrick MD, Chris Corrigan, has labelled the report's finding "ludicrous".
