Mar. 1--TORRINGTON, Conn. -- An Enfield auction firm plans to sell off a chunk of Rexam Cosmetic Packaging Inc.'s equipment today, as the longtime area manufacturer continues winding down its city operations.
Capital Recovery Group has listed more than 650 items, or groups of items, for sale, including injection-molding machinery, machine shop equipment and office fixtures, as well as decorating, assembly, finishing and packaging equipment. The auction, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rexam's 129 Industrial Lane plant, comes as the London-based company wraps up its local production there.
