McCain Foods (Canada) is the new owner of Midwest Food Products. The facility south of Carberry, Manitoba, employs about 400 people and produces french fries and other potato products for customers throughout North America, including McDonald's. Florenceville, New Brunswick-headquartered McCain already owned another potato processing plant at Portage La Prairie with similar production capacity.
