NEW YORK -- Despite the sharp increase in digital camera sales, suppliers have not backed off from introducing film-based cameras.
While the digital revolution has caused film sales to dramatically fall off in the past few years, the one segment of the film and film-based camera market that has continued to hold its own has been onetime-use cameras.
Still, even onetime-use cameras are now falling victim to the digital revolution.
The Photo Marketing Association (PMA), which expected sales of onetime-use cameras to end 2004 with an all-time high of 218 million units sold, now expects the format to peak in 2005 and begin to decline in coming ...
