It's a cliche, but in this case, Brad Bird is living it.
He's just happy to be there.
The writer-animator from Corvallis is up for two Academy Awards on Sunday, for best animated feature and best original screenplay for his Pixar-produced animated superhero film, "The Incredibles."
Despite the fact that a number of critics - from Roger Ebert to the crew at Entertainment Weekly - have picked "Incredibles' to beat out box office champ "Shrek 2' for the animation trophy, Bird takes nothing for granted.
