DALLAS _ Lung cancer in nonsmokers can be a different disease from lung cancer in smokers, according to the largest studies yet on the topic.
The new findings should speed the trend toward personalized lung cancer treatment, in which doctors give each patient the most helpful medication for a particular tumor.
Scientists from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and their colleagues have analyzed more than 600 lung tumors collected around the world.
