UW Hospital has safety measures to make sure patients get the right medicines and don't have the wrong body part operated on, efforts that helped it land on two national lists released Monday that spotlight hospitals quality.
For the third time in 12 years, UW Hospital was included among the "100 Top Hospitals" list from Solucient, a company that develops health-care information databases and data analysis software.
UW Hospital also was named one of "50 Exceptional U.S. Hospitals" by a coalition of large corporations seeking to reduce hospital errors to lower health-care costs.
