It has been decided that military police are to guard valuable cargo at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands after the theft of an armoured truck.

Information about the decision was given by a military police spokesman, who also said that the number of detectives investigating the robbery had been increased from 20 to 40.

The thieves reportedly hijacked an armoured car carrying diamonds and jewellery from a cargo ramp of the Dutch airline KLM at Schiphol airport on Friday (25 February). ...
