LEXINGTON, Mass. -- For the sixth consecutive year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) have recognized the Northeast ENERGY STAR(R) Appliance and Lighting Initiative with the Excellence in Energy Efficiency and Environmental Education Award for outstanding contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by bringing ENERGY STAR to communities across the Northeast. The Initiative's sponsors will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 15, 2005.
