The federal government has issued another warning to US transplant centers emphasizing that inadequate record keeping and reporting practices for organ acquisition costs will not be tolerated.
University Hospital of Brooklyn kidney transplant program has been cited by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) with failing to comply with Medicare regulations for claiming organ acquisition costs for the period January 1, 1998 through December 30, 1998.
