Mar. 2--TOKYO -- Japan and Thailand have narrowed gaps over key issues as they effectively wrapped up their sixth round of talks for a bilateral free trade agreement Wednesday, Japanese officials said.
During the weeklong talks in Tokyo, the two sides "made progress to some extent" in each sector covered by the envisioned FTA and reaffirmed the need to aim to conclude the negotiations at an early date, the officials said.
The officials declined to elaborate.
