The demand for copies of popular TV shows such as "24" and "Star Trek" are on the rise, according to Webzine Silicon.com. It points out that whole shows are available--without commercials--within minutes of their showing--much to the delight of TV fans, who probably don't have a TiVo, and much to the chagrin of the studios, actors and others involved in producing the show.
It is impossible to create demand for a product, as the studios do, and then deny the product to the market because consumers aren't able to watch at the intended hour. Just as the labels have been unable to stifle file swapping except by making their music available online, so will the studios ...
