Toyota Motor Corporation's head office has given permission for Toyota Australia to start making a new version of its Camry. In what is perceived as a "vote of confidence" in Toyota Australia, the Australian branch of the automobile manufacturer will establish a special vehicles operation to develop "hotted-up" versions of the Camry and other vehicles. The company has unveiled its new TS-01 Camry model, which is equipped with a supercharged V6 engine. Meanwhile, Ford Australia has revealed that it has a new contract to export 2,000 Territory sports utility vehicles to South Africa.
