New York City's municipal government is preparing to accelerate initiatives to promote more ubiquitous wireless and broadband access to the Internet in urban communities, with an emphasis on both mobile and fixed spectrum applications throughout the five boroughs that comprise the municipal jurisdiction: Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island and Queens.
