If Sourdough Slim doesn't sound like the typical name for a contemporary performer, you're on the right track. Slim doesn't aspire to anything that can be called contemporary, so his name--though antiquated--is perfectly suited toward the music he plays. Six-Guns 'n Sage, then, revisits classic folk songs and specializes--but isn't limited to--western fare.
