Female Cajun bands are a rarity. Cleoma Falcon was an early pioneer in the distaff side of the music but until Ann Savoy and Jane Vidrine formed the Magnolia Sisters, women were sung about, romanced, and expected to keep house. But times are changing.
Ann plays accordion and Jane is a fine Cajun fiddler. They are joined by Anya Schoenegge, second and lead fiddle, and Lisa Trahan Reed on bass. All four women contribute vocals. Christine Balfa adds rhythm guitar and "Mr. Sister" Kenny Alleman plays drums.
