"KILL all Koreans and Asians" a visitor wrote in the guest book of the Yasukuni Shrine Museum, reported Dr. John Silva, fellow heritage conservationist and senior curator of our National Museum. He did not specify whether it was written in earnest or with irony, by a Japanese or a foreigner, but he did say that the Japanese museologist who accompanied him was "aghast and rendered speechless for a few seconds" before he could translate the phrase. It could have been written by a Japanese because the majority seem to be worried about the militarist message of the Yasukuni Shrine Museum.
