MINNEAPOLIS -- Famous Dave's of America, Inc. (NASDAQ:DAVE) today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed company founder Dave Anderson as Chairman Emeritus. Mr. Anderson recently stepped down as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior for Indian Affairs to focus on developing private sector economic opportunities for Indian tribes and leadership opportunities for Native youth. As Chairman Emeritus, Mr. Anderson will have no formal responsibilities with Famous Dave's. The company's Board of Directors made the appointment to recognize Mr. Anderson's outstanding contributions to Famous Dave's, the community and the country.
