A DAILY aspirin can cut the risk of strokes for women and help older ones stave off heart attacks as well, say researchers.
A major study has shown for the first time that regular low- dose aspirin benefits women.
Most previous research has been carried out on men.
The study found that women of 65 and over were protected against both heart attacks and strokes.
Younger women were not protected against heart attacks, but their risk of strokes was lowered.
