Dhaka, March 8 (UNB) - Disabled women today demanded that all discriminatory laws against them be repealed so that they can enjoy equal rights in the society.
They raised their demand at a press conference at National Press Club. Bangladesh Protibandhi Nari Unnayan Network of Bangladesh Pratibondhi Kalyan Samiti (BPKS) organised the press conference on the occasion of International Women Day 2005.
Ashrafun Nahar Mishti, member secretary and coordinator of BPKS, read out the written statement at the news conference, describing the status of disabled women in Bangladesh.
