CORRECTION (ran 3/5/2005): A citation for being a minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) is a violation. Ron Bellamy's column on Page C1 on Friday incorrectly described the level of the offense.
Rather than have people keep wondering and speculating about what he did to warrant suspension from the South Eugene basketball team, Matt Bramow decided Thursday to say exactly what he did.
He acknowledged that he was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol at a party he hosted in his home while his mother was out of town at a memorial service.
It's a misdemeanor, and he'll go to juvenile court.
