KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- College basketball's annual mode for March Madness is survive and advance. Fact is, for the past couple of months, it has been the only mode available for the University of Texas men's team.
The University of Colorado's opponent in tonight's Big 12 Conference tournament first round (7:20 p.m. MST) knows what it means to make do with what is there.
Injuries and academic problems have reduced the Texas roster to eight scholarship players - one more than was available Feb. 8 when the Buffaloes took advantage in an 88-79 victory at Boulder.
