Many balanced scorecards (BSCs) are initiated with great promise but soon fade away. Why do they fail? More often than not, management doesn't systematically communicate strategies to all employees for practical implementation or obtain employee feedback that would generate innovative improvements and breakthrough capabilities. The missing link is a formal communication and feedback system.
