Even though his grandmother lives "on the other side of the world," Aleksander Kostin said her problem was the inspiration for his invention - the Magno Glove.
"My grandmother drops her needles on the floor when she sews and I have to try to find them," he said, adding that he helps her when he visits her in Ukraine.
So he came up with an idea for a glove with magnets inside that can pick up dropped needles and spilled nails.
Aleksander's invention won the top award in the sixth grade at the Marcellus Invention Convention recently.
