NEW ORLEANS -- Earlier appears to be better when using growth hormone to treat girls with Turner's syndrome, Agnes Linglart, M.D., said at a poster session at the annual meeting of the Endocrine Society.
"Between birth and age 4, these girls can lose 1.5 standard deviations of height," said Dr. Linglart, a member of a European study group on young girls with Turner's syndrome, from Hopital Saint-Vincent de Paul, Paris. "We can prevent that by early treatment."
