The author has been a relentless campaigner for the revival of the Bhikkhuni Order in Sri Lanka from the time she was still a dasa sil mata some 30 years ago. She led the agitation as President of the Dasa sail mata Federation. As such she has been in touch with the Buddha Sasana Ministry, Buddhist women leaders and the leaders of the revival movement.
