MANILA, March 11 Asia Pulse - Consumers have been warned to refrain from buying automotive batteries without the Philippine Standard (PS) or Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) marks as these may be substandard and detrimental to consumers safety.
ICC mark is a requirement for imported products under the BPS' Product Certification Scheme.
The warning was issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) following the confiscation of 71 boxes of lead acid storage batteries for use in automotive vehicles from an establishment located in Quezon City.
