Liam Tooke was delighted when he was given one of the Michelin-starred chef's gourmet cookery kits as a present.
But he was left disgusted after noticing one of the labels peeling off the 'Gordon Ramsay Passion Fruit Parfait Kit' - to reveal packaging for John West.
Although the tin of passion fruit pulp in syrup had Ramsay's signature on it, Mr Tooke, who is also a chef, discovered it could be bought in his local supermarket or corner shop for around [pounds sterling]1.29.
