The Central Minnesota Speed Association (CMSA) held its second speed run of the 2005 season in Rush City, Minnesota, on February 12.
Despite that the event was held in the dead of winter, weather in Rush City, which is about 50 miles north of Minneapolis, was more typical of early April than mid-February.
A clear sky and temperatures near 50 degrees Fahrenheit brought racers, crews and track officials out in sunglasses, baseball caps and short-sleeved shirts instead of bibs, choppers and pac boots.
